Terms of Service

1. Who we are

alot.com.ng is operated by Rex Leonem LLC (“alot”, “we”), a business registered in Nigeria. We run an online marketplace that connects buyers with independent sellers across the country, providing the platform, the matching technology and the payment rails. We are not the seller of the items listed unless a listing explicitly says so — your contract for the goods is with the seller, and your contract for the service is with us. 2. Accounts

You must be at least 18 to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us immediately if you believe someone else has accessed it.

3. Buying

• Prices shown include the item price. Delivery is calculated at checkout and shown before you pay.
• An order is only confirmed once payment has been received and verified.
• Item descriptions, photographs and condition claims are provided by sellers. We ask sellers to be accurate but we do not independently inspect every item.
• Where a listing is marked Negotiable, any agreed price change must be reflected in the order before payment.

4. Selling

• You may only list items you own and are legally entitled to sell.
• Listings must accurately describe condition, and photographs must be of the actual item.
• Counterfeit, stolen, unsafe and restricted goods are prohibited and will be removed.
• You must dispatch within the timeframe stated on the listing.

5. Payments

Payments are processed by Flutterwave. We never see or store your full card details. Order totals are calculated on our servers from the listed price — the amount you are charged always matches the amount shown at checkout.

6. Cancellations, returns and refunds

7. Prohibited conduct

Do not use alot to defraud others, to scrape or overload the platform, to circumvent fees, or to harass other users. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms.

8. Liability

alot provides the marketplace “as is”. To the extent permitted by Nigerian law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from a transaction between a buyer and a seller. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced on the site. Continuing to use alot after a change means you accept the updated terms.

10. Seller fees and payouts

• Listing on alot is free. We take a commission only when an item sells.
• Payouts are released to the seller after the return window on the order has closed, so a refund does not have to be clawed back.
• Where an order is refunded before payout, no commission is charged.
• We will give at least 30 days’ notice on the site before any change to commission rates.

11. Complaints and disputes

If something goes wrong, contact support first — most problems are settled the same day. See the Refund & Returns Policy for how we handle a disputed order, including when we hold funds while we investigate.

If support cannot resolve it to your satisfaction, you can escalate the complaint and it will be reviewed by someone who was not involved the first time. We aim to give a final written answer within 10 working days.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes that cannot be settled between us are subject to the jurisdiction of the Nigerian courts. Nothing here removes any right you have under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act.
